March

We made pancakes in the staff room on Pancake Tuesday. We had a choice of nutella/lemon and sugar to put on our pancakes.

We had a drumming workshop on 6th March. We had so much fun.

Seachtain na Gaeilge is a fun but busy time in 6th class. We are trying to speak as much Gaeilge as possible, and teacher is looking out for Gaelóir na seachtaine. Well done to Leah and Eve who got Gaelóir na seachtaine :)
We are busy writing brilliant stories as Gaeilge for a class competition.

We listened to An Táin Bó Chuailgne story or The Brown Bull of Cooley and had a class art competition. Well done to Evelina who won the art competition.

Here are pictures of a few of our pictures:

We learnt the song 'Pompeii' le Bastille as Gaeilge and we performed it for the whole school as part of a whole school ceolchoirm on Friday 20th March.

We had our céilí on Friday 14th March in the hall. We all wore different shades of green.

We had our Spring Clean Day on Friday 14th March after the céilí. We helped clean up the senior infants rooms 5 and 6 and also our own classroom. There was lots of sorting to be done!

We are also busy learning about global citizenship for our 6th green flag. Airish and Aisling are on the Green School Committee and they, (along with the rest of the Green School Committee) keep us on our toes!
