Science week 2014

We had fun making simple circuits using a battery, a bulb and bulb holder and some wire. We then added a switch to the circuit using cardboard, paperclips and extra wires so that we could turn the bulb on and off.

We then made a lighthouse using a plastic bottle and lots of sellotape.

As part of science week every class in the school carried out an experiment in their own classrooms, our experiment was 'Design a Lighthouse', then we had a science fair in the hall. Every class in the school had an opportunity to visit the science fair to see the experiment carried out by each class. It was lots of fun. There was a quiz on famous scientists and for art we drew what we thought a scientist looks like.

We made periscopes with our teacher. It was tricky but we got there in the end!
