November

Hi, we are the bloggers for November Katie O Flaherty, Katie  Buckley Darcy and Sarah Hanna.

On the 27th of  November we visited the Anne Frank exhibition in the Dublin libraries on  Pearse street.
We had lots of fun. We watched a short film about Anne Frank about her and her family and we went on a walk around the museum and we learned things about Anne Frank and the prison camps. We traveled on Dublin bus number 13. Here is a picture of us outside Trinity College.

We made tetrahedrons and ochtahedrons because we were learning about 3d shapes in maths. We had some fun because we coloured and designed the shapes and after that we cut them out and stuck them together.

We are busy working on narrative writing. We hope to have wonderful stories by Christmas time. We learned lots of new thing about how to write narrative stories. We learned about the orientation , complication and resolution. Orientation means you have to introduce the characters and describe the setting, Complication means you have to introduce a situation that changes the normal run of events and causes a problem for one or more of the characters and Resolution means resolving the problem so things are back to normal even though changes have occurred.
We are doing a great job on our narrative writing.

We are learning how to play spike volley ball with 3 girls Louise, Laura and Megan from transition year from Coláiste Bríde. We are going to have a blitz at the end of the our 10 week block of lessons against other schools in Clondalkin.

We read the novel "The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas" by John Boyne and we watched the movie aswell, we all cried in the movie because it was so sad. It was a brilliant movie. We also learned all about WW2 in History.

We will  be singing outside the civic offices in Clondalkin and we will be turning on the Christmas lights at 5.00pm on Wednesday 11th of December.

Next Friday on the  6th of December we will be performing in city west for our Hallelujah concert at 7.30pm. We are busy preparing.

On the 29th of November Sr Anne came in to talk  to us about the life of Nano Nagle.
